About Brookfield Craft Center
Brookfield Craft Center is recognized as one of the finest professional schools for creative study in America, dedicated to teaching and fostering the skills of fine craftsmanship. Our classes and workshops are taught by nationally acclaimed local and visiting artists who regularly bring their experience and creative energies to our unique institution.
We invite you to be creative, and encourage you to learn and grow within our artistic community of talented faculty, inspired students and generous volunteers and supporters. Students can explore basketry, beadwork, blacksmithing, ceramics, glass, jewelry and fine metals, fiber and weaving, woodturning and woodworking. Other areas of special interest include photography, paper and book arts, decorative arts, painting and drawing, business and marketing for artists, tai chi and exploring the creative spirit.
Our Campus and Facilities
Our historic 2.5 acre campus is located six miles north of Danbury, Connecticut, on the banks of the Still River, with a vintage Mill Building as its centerpiece. Our six vintage buildings house seven fully-equipped studios, an exhibition gallery, a retail craft gallery and gift shop, and housing for visiting faculty.

Lakeside Pottery is a ceramic art and craft educational resource for the community working with clay. We seek to inspire creativity, foster self-discovery, and nurture an appreciation for lifelong learning through our programs, special events and access to our studio and gallery.
IN OUR FACILITY ....
Learn the art of decorative and functional pottery, using the potters wheel and ceramic sculpting, in a professional, spacious and well lit studio centrally located in Stamford, CT.
Instruction activities include group classes, private lessons, teachers professional development, after school programs and summer camp. Open Studio time can be purchased for independent work. Custom programs, birthday party events for both, children or adults, corporate team building workshops and gift certificates are also offered.
