About Darien Art Centerl
Founded in 1975, the Darien Arts Center is dedicated to supporting and fostering a greater appreciation of, and participation in, the visual and performing arts for all members of the community and has been an important part of the cultural life of Darien for more than 25 years. A volunteer board of directors and important committees and boards represent the various areas of interest and oversee the diverse activities of the Darien Arts Center and its programs including the Darien Players, the Cabaret, the Connecticut Choraliers, Dance, Music, Kids' Theatre and Visual Arts.
Our classes are filled with close to 800 students of all ages taking part in the Darien Arts Center’s programs each week. Hundreds more are involved with the performing arm of the Center. The programs would not be possible without the encouragement of the thousands of area residents who come out in support of these events and have stood by us and helped us grow into the successful and thriving organization we are today. For that we say “thank you!” And we promise we will continue to present the very best theatre, music, dance and visual arts to you and to your families for generations to come.
The Darien Arts Center is funded exclusively by tuition, ticket sales and donations. Please support the arts in Darien by becoming a member of the Darien Arts Center, volunteering on committees, participating in our programs and attending our events.
