Our Spring 2004 programs and activities are planned and we want to share them with you. Adult and children Spring classes are starting the 1st week of March - registration started. See below for more information about our classes and workshops or visit our website.

SPRING 2004 8-WEEK POTTERY MAKING PROGRAMS

Our Spring Adult (beginners or advanced classes) and Children Pottery Making programs are starting the 1st weeks of March. Registration started. For more information call or visit our web site at www.lakesidepottery.com. Call 203-323-2222 to reserve a seat.


SUMMER CAMP

The weekly Pottery Summer Camp Program is designed to expose children to an actual pottery studio where they use the wheel and other pottery making methods. Several creative and fun projects will be taught by our accomplished artist / teachers. Potter's Wheel, Hand building and Glazing.

Starting the week of June 22. Can enroll in one or more wks. Snack, material, toolset & firing fees included. $269 a week.

  • Age 8 -11 Mon to Thu, 9:00AM -12:00PM
  • Age 12 -15 Mon to Thu, 1:00PM - 4:00PM

Raku Workshop - Sun March 14, 2004 >> 10:00 - 5:00PM

Come spend the day out doors using this ancient firing technique originating in Japan. Click HERE for more details

Teapot: "The sum of it's parts Workshop - July 27, 2003 >> 1:00 - 4:00PM

This hands-on workshop will explore each part the teapot from both the technical and esthetic view points and how to make the choices that best suit the overall function and style of the pot. Surface treatment will be discussed.

Steven Hill Workshop - Sat and Sunday Oct 30 and 31, 2004

Functional Stoneware/Single Firing

What makes a pot functional? How can pottery transcend mere function, while still honoring it's intended use?

In this two day workshop, Steven will throw and alter pots, demonstrate slip trailing, and use the extruder; all the while communicating his enthusiasm and passion for functional stoneware and single firing. Click HERE for more information.


BIRTHDAY PARTIES

We offer birthday parties for children (age 7 and older) and for adults. The party can be customized to your requirements and be conducted in our studio or at a location of your choice (your home, a hotel, office).

The parties are fun and educational. The party can be designed with a wide range of activities. Work on the potters wheel, hand building project and glazing. A typical party is one session where the participants build their art project and select the glaze they like. Click HERE for more information

TEAM BUILDING WORKSHOPS

What kind of activity will engage people of various backgrounds, interests, and capabilities while, at the same time, helping them to unite as a team? (Without draining the HR training budget.)
