Steven Hill Workshop

Functional Stoneware/Single Firing

What makes a pot functional? How can pottery transcend mere function, while still honoring it's intended use? In this two day workshop, Steven will throw and alter pots, demonstrate slip trailing, and use the extruder; all the while communicating his enthusiasm and passion for functional stoneware and single firing.

Steven Hill received his BFA from Kansas State University in 1973. Since that time he has been a professional studio potter, with his home and studio located in Kansas City, Missouri. Steven's work is exhibited and sold in nationally juried shows and is featured in many ceramics books.
