This 2 1/2 hour lesson was designed for the beginner and for those who have taken beginning pottery classes in the past and would like a refresher workshop. This workshop will introduce the basic skills of working with clay on the potter's wheel and will provide you with the understanding of what it takes to use the potter's wheel. $65 including materials. INTRO TO GLASS BEADS

Sun, Nov 7th, 10 - 1pm or 2 - 5pm
In this 3 hour workshop, students will learn the basics of glass bead making using a gas torch, hand tools, and soft glass. Hand-applied dots, stripes, glittering foils, and colorful enamels will be used to embellish individual beads. Discussion about glass beadmaking will include properties of glass and studio set-up. Through a combination of instructor demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will make several beads of their own to take home. Five students per class. $125 including materials.
