Instruction in all aspects of pottery -- hand-building, sculpting, wheel throwing and glazing. Lessons offered are for children or adults, or for parent / child session. Art Teachers professional development lessons are also available. Please call or e-mail to schedule in advance. Minimum time recommended per lesson is one hour and 15 minutes. A series of private lessons (minimum of five lessons) will qualify you to use our Open Studio offering.
Who: Private lessons can be given to adults, children (age 7 and up) and a mixture of adults and children (e.g. parent / child) and it is a fun date idea.
Duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Cost: $88 for one person and $44 for each additional person. Firing and glazing fees are charged separately for items kept and it is based on size with a minimum charge of $10.00 per item. 10% discount is offered for three or more lessons.
Cancellation policy: Two days notice
3% fee for charge card payment - to pay with Charge Card or PayPal
Examples:
- 1 person for 1 hour and 15 minutes: $88 + 10 ** = $98
- 2 people for 1 hour and 15 minutes: $132 + 20 ** = $152
- 3 people for 1 hour and 15 minutes: $176 + 30 ** = $206
- 4 people for 1 hour and 15 minutes: $220 + 40 ** = $260
- 5 people for 1 hour and 15 minutes: $264 + 50 ** = $314

** $10 for firing fees per item (fee for large items will be more than $10)
Schedule for private lesson up to three participants is preferred on:
- Mondays: 1:00PM - 9:00PM
- Wed., Fri. or Sat. - 1:00PM - 6:00PM
Note: During the summer, private lesson can be scheduled on Fridays or Saturdays only (1:00 - 6:00PM)

Note: we are not a Contemporary Paint Your Own Pottery / Ceramic Studio - we work with clay (potter's wheel and sculpting) .... and glazing. If you prefer to paint pottery, search for Hand Painted, Come Out and Clay in Norwalk, Hands on Pottery in Fairfield and Darien or Art and Soul in New Canaan.
