Used Skutt kiln KM1231-3 (13 cubic feet) with APM elements. Including kiln stand. 240V one phase operating well. About 4 years old. $1200 or best offer.
Note:
This Skutt KM1231 kiln was used in our studio for the past 4 years fired about once a week or two. It was fired cone 06 for bisquing and cone 6 glaze. We fired it to cone 10 only a couple of times. Earlier this year, we have replaced the top brick row and 4 of the seven elements were replaced recently (APM / long lasting elements cost $136 each). The kiln is operating well all is in good order. Every 4 years we get a new kiln as part of our effort to avoid any down time. Whomever will purchase the kiln will also receive a new thermocouple unit (should be replaced every few years). Does not include Kiln vent or any kiln furniture. Kiln will be available for a pick-up in a couple of weeks once we receive the new one (over $4,000). This kiln consumes 75 Amps and require a 90 Amps circuit breakers. It does not have a plug and must be hard wired to an electric switch box.
Used Skutt kiln KM1227-3 with defective controller - great for raku firing or spare parts. Mechanically and elements are all operational and working. $50 or best offer.
